Who We Are

We are Little Saskatchewan H.A.G.M.E. School, serving the children and families of Little Saskatchewan First Nation in Gypsumville, Manitoba.

We are a small but strong learning community where every student is known, valued, and supported.

We provide education from nursery through grade 10, following the Manitoba provincial curriculum and creating a strong foundation that prepares our students for success in high school and beyond. With a small student population, we are able to give each learner personal attention, helping them build both academic skills and confidence.

Our classrooms are welcoming spaces where students feel safe to learn and grow. We encourage curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, and we integrate community values into our daily routines. While our primary language of instruction is English, we also celebrate and share our Ojibway culture through stories, traditions, and community events.

We are more than a school-we are a gathering place for our Nation. We host family engagement nights, sports activities, and cultural events that bring together students, parents, Elders, and community members. Our school is a place where relationships are built, traditions are honoured, and children develop the skills they need for the future.

We take pride in being a supportive and nurturing environment where learning meets belonging. We are committed to helping our students grow into confident, capable, and culturally grounded young people.

We're located in Gypsumville, offering a welcoming learning environment for young families from Little Saskatchewan First Nation and surrounding areas. Nestled in the Interlake region, our school blends rural community spirit with a commitment to quality education and cultural resilience. With a small student population of about 45, our school offers a close-knit learning environment where every student receives individual attention and support. Teachers can focus on each child's strengths and needs, building strong academic foundations in reading, writing, math, and science.
